I am a multishipper. I am generally an omnivore (no fixed placements) so long as the ship involves a character I really like. I also produce content in a similar fashion.I am primarily active in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. My favourite character is Ferdinand, and most of my fan work therefore involves him!Other currently active fandoms are Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, SK8 The Infinity, and Tolkien. I am chronically behind in anything regularly updating. I am OK with spoilers unless they are not available to everyone (i.e. obtained from advance scans).I have very few NOTPs, but ships with uneven power dynamics that are not addressed or that hinge upon "humourously" demeaning one party will not appeal to me.

Your name is Ferdinand von Aegir. You are a student at the prestigious Officers Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery. You are dedicated to upholding your family's honour and position in the Adrestian Empire. Your time at the academy is one for you to learn more about your own abilities and to consider how you will deal with your father, the corrupt Prime Minister of Adrestia. The latter part keeps you up at night if you don't work hard enough during the day.
Today, your professor, Byleth Eisner, has invited you to tea time. Byleth is fairly close to you in age and a mercenary by profession. You deeply respect their instruction and judgement, but you find them to be inscrutable.Recently, they had you take the qualification exam for Thief along with your classmates Petra and Yuri. You were surprised by this choice, but you do think the skills you are learning are useful. You are secretly really worried you won't be able to keep up with them because Petra is naturally faster than you and Yuri has a lot of actual thievery experience. You hope your proficiency in multiple weapons will make up for your deficiencies.
When you sit down to tea, Byleth has already poured you a cup. You recognise the smell immediately as Almyran Pine Needles. You can't help but say:

They seem very good at knowing what information to share and when. Maybe it's a mercenary skill."I do not want simply to repeat what has been done before," you say, and you are careful to avoid fidgeting. "That is why I was so glad you returned that old paper on agriculture and taxation. I am trying to learn about the past to not repeat the same mistakes in the future."Byleth smiles slightly. They set their cup back down."That is admirable," they say, very honestly. "I am counting on you to be able to continue to grow beyond your time here at the academy."
"Thank you," you says, and you mean it. "I am extremely versatile. In fact, I fear I am a jack-of-all-trades."Byleth smiles, a wider one than usual. "I think that is part of what makes you unique, Ferdinand," they say. "You can grow in whichever way you chose."You smile back, feeling somehow reassured. Also a little embarrassed. Most people think that a specialty is needed, but you've always thought that you should learn as much as possible to be able to understand the problems that will cross your path both as a noble and as a person.You reach for your tea as Byleth studies you and wonder how they will instruct you in the coming months before graduation. You hope you can learn as much as possible and be prepared for the road ahead.
